I totally support you doing what you find fun on your channel, Zud. Of these games I can see myself getting hooked on one of the IO type games. I think simpler games have their charm as they are easy to get into.
On that note: AU mods that are simpler CAN be fun too, as well as the more elaborate ones. I came across a Ssundee video from a year ago, a Skeld map but the 1 imp had infinite kill range and one sec cd and it was HILARIOUS. Maybe do one of those mods too, every once in a while?
