How far should the seam allowance be from the cutout?

Bruh. I literally printed out your pattern several times and it ended up being weird. The words appeared but the shape of the pattern peices did not. I can’t make the plush if I don’t have a pattern to follow. I’m really frustrated. Maybe the printer is low on ink or maybe the pattern outline needs to be darker.
Steps
(Should probably read before starting)
Main Character
1. Trace printed pattern onto fabric.
2. Cut fabric, and make sure to make seam allowances along indicated parts.
3. Fold body sides in half and sew along top and bottom of first and second body sides.
4. Join top curve of both body parts, leaving bottom curve open. Position so that tracings are facing up.
5. Take first inner and outer leg pieces, and join along straight edges on each side.
6. Place foot circle on tip of each foot and sew together.
7. Fold each leg piece in half so inner leg is closest to the center. Join legs to gaps on body so that leg and body parts are open to each other. (Note: impt to get filling into leg)
8. Repeat for other leg.
9. Use remaining open edge to flip plushie.
10. Fill plushie with stuffing.
11. Close remaining open ends (gap) with an invisible stitch.
VISOR
1. Sew along dots on both ends.
2. Flip to side with no tracing. Use a running stitch to join glint (white dot) on left side of visor.
3. Use pins to attach visor to body, if wanted.
4. Use invisible stitch to sew visor to body.
5. Before completing stitching, fill in with stuffing!!
Backpack
1. Join backpack piece and main backpack piece along tracing on all sides.
2. When you’re almost complete with sewing the last side, flip inside out and fill with stuffing.
3. Use invisible stitch to close up remaining edge.
4. Pin backpack to body.
5. Use invisible stitch to sew backpack onto body.
All complete! Good luck 🙂
